Seeking Truth in a Disenchanted World
Modern existence seems to always be in a ceaseless flux, in which any meaningful human endeavor seems marred by tides of disillusionment. Thus, I often find myself adrift. I’m caught between the ephemeral beauty of creation and the stark realities of a world that grows ever more cynical. The complexities of our era, with its […]
What is Considered Artistic?
Whether expressed through words or pictures, artistry thrives, no matter what the medium. Like other forms of art, writing can never quite be perfect. But, this doesn’t mean it can’t be a work of beauty in its own right. Everyone has their own personal style to everything they do – whether you’re speaking aloud or […]
What Was Your Biggest Sliding Door Moment?
One newsletter I once read talked about “sliding door moments.” (That newsletter now requires a paid subscription to read, so I’ve killed any reference to the original link.) This a reference to a 1998 movie with a young, gorgeous Gwyneth Paltrow called Sliding Doors. In that film, Paltrow’s character has two divergent encounters with a […]

Denver Classic Cars (Photos)
These photos were taken with my Galaxy S3 by the Samsung company smartphone, and these were taken during the Denver Juneteenth celebration, I believe. One of the few things that Joe Biden did right during his presidency was to make that official federal holiday. I like cars. They are such transportation, wow.
Scenes from the Littleton Fire Truck Show, Red Rocks Community College (Photos)
See, I’ve always been into public safety, especially the fire department! No wonder Emily Slatin and I hit things off so well right off the bat! I’d love to go to another one of these types of shows. But they’re never close to where we’re at right now in Vermont, unfortunately. Again, these were taken […]
