“You Wonder What We’re Coming To” is a poem about the pervasiveness of sexuality in our society.
He once dated a girl
Made of perfect plastic
She was kind of dumb, yes
But the sex was fantastic
You wonder what we’re coming to
A world of playboys and bunnies
Nobody knows who’s really who
Living in a house of mirrors funny
This life’s a stage
The spotlights are blinding
Fake’s all the rage
No truth are we finding
You wonder what we’re coming to
Livin’ in a society of tragic fools
Grinding people up like fast food
We’re not long for totally screwed
