Storyteller (Poetry)

woman in gray long sleeve shirt sitting on her bed reading a book

Tell a story with eloquent words
Show it so well to win prestigious awards
It’s no wonder that the critics can make accord
That you’re the greatest storyteller of our time

Telling tales of great power of warlords
Their rise and decline through Four Wars
The bloody hell thru which you give us a tour
You’re the greatest storyteller of our time

Telling us of a master of illusion
Of a student of the random confusion
And the knitter of time’s tapestry in person
You’re the greatest storyteller of our time

How can all this exist in one mind?
It’s only of one a million
Crazy perspectives you’ll find
Those dreams to which we unwind

Weave them all together
Storybook fantasies combined
Reason floats away like a feather
For the greatest storyteller of all time
