These photos were taken on July 20, 2021 at the National Toy Train Museum in Strasburg, Pennsylvania. I only snapped a few photographs of the museum exhibits with my smartphone while Thomas took the majority of the photos at the Train Museum. The last photo of the chicken, rooster, chicks, and eggs was purely for fun.
Unfortunately, this was about the only thing that went right for Thomas’ birthday trip to Pennsylvania. The regular Pennsylvania Train Museum was closed by chance, and fortunately we didn’t purchase tickets in advance. I got sick at lunch, the local department store was extremely underwhelming, and we took off to nearby Delaware to see if there was anything worth seeing there. After that bust, we returned to our hotel to discover there was an electrical fire in the basement. While there wasn’t anything visible, the smell was clear, and the hotel staff said we had no choice but to remain in the lobby. We immediately went to the room, despite the staff’s protests, gathered our stuff and left. On the way, they scolded us and told us there were no refunds. Thomas drove the whole way home and we didn’t back until late.
At least we have the good memories of the Toy Train Museum, small as it was, and got to spend time together!
