High Line Canal Trail, Denver, Colorado, June 1st, 2015.
As I stepped onto the High Line Canal Trail in Denver, Colorado for the first time in June 2015, I was immediately struck by the natural beauty that surrounded me. The soft rustling of the leaves from the tall cottonwood trees mixed with the gentle burbling of the canal as it flowed lazily by made for a soothing symphony of sounds. This was the first of many Colorado trails I visited to capture natural beauty with my Samsung phone camera, hoping to take photos that would capture the essence of these places.
I couldn’t help but take a deep breath to savor it all. I strolled along the trail in the warm sunshine, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of this wonderful place. I couldn’t help but feel blessed to be able to witness such natural beauty within the confines of the Denver city limits.
As I left the High Line Canal Trail and back to our lodging at the time, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to witness such natural beauty. The photos I took still serve as a reminder of this wonderful day, and I knew that I would always treasure the memories of my time on this stunning trail. I did have many more pictures of other parts of this trail, but sadly most of them have been lost for a variety of reasons, so these are what remain.
