Head Case (Poetry)

“Head Case” is a short poem about not letting regrets and bad memories hold you back from finding something better for yourself.

I’m such a head case
Haunted by regrets
That I can’t erase
Can’t help but repeat
Can’t cheat my fate

Gotta hit the streets
Doin’ a little
Hard, fast, soul-searchin’
Running on empty
While my heart is burnin’

Unsure if I’ll last
My soul is yearnin’
For something better
And I’m thinkin’ I
Better get there fast
