On an outing to Fair Haven, Vermont for grocery shopping, we happened across Depot Street, where there is an abandoned train depot. It was nearby an Amtrak stop recently as 2010, although the stop wasn’t at the old depot itself, which dates back to the early half of the 20th century. Of interest to me was the old 1930’s concrete bridge, from which there’s a great view of the Castleton River which runs beneath it. The bridge itself is closed to through traffic, but the view of the river is grand.
